Ri Chong Song wins men's 81kg, Ri Suk sets two world records in women's 64kg

At IWF World Weightlifting Championships in Bahrain, Ri Chong Song won the men's 81kg division, and fellow DPRK weightlifter Ri Suk won the women's 64kg category with two world records. 

Ri won the snatch gold with 166kg in his third attempt, narrowly beating Mukhammadkodir Toshtemirov from Uzbekistan with 165kg and Alexey Churkin from Kazakhstan with 164kg. 

In the clean and jerk, Churkin lifted 204kg in his last attempt to temporarily overtake Ri in total weight, but the 27-year-old Ri lifted just 1kg more to win all three gold medals with a total weight of 371kg. 

In the women's 64kg category, China's Li Shuang won three bronze medals. The snatch gold went to DPRK's Rim Un Sim who lifted116kg. Ri Suk set two new world records, breaking her own with a successful last attempt of 149kg in clean and jerk, and setting the total weight world record at 264kg with 115kg from snatch.
