A fire named "Franklin" that erupted in Malibu, Southern California on December 9, burned down more than 4,000 acres by Wednesday afternoon. Approximately 18,000 people and 8,100 homes and businesses have been placed under evacuation orders or warnings. No deaths or injuries have been reported so far.
