One of South Africa's top universities is hosting an exhibition of Chinese intangible cultural heritage arts and crafts.
The University of Johannesburg (UJ) and Shanghai University are hosting the "Belt and Road" International Handicraft Art Exhibition at the UJ Art Gallery in Johannesburg, featuring paper cuttings, embroidery, silk tapestry, New Year paintings (nianhua), kites and purple clay teapots.
Themed "Dialogue with World Cultures," the exhibition will run until January 25, after which it will travel to other countries including Australia, France, Italy, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, Sweden and Turkey.
