CBA review: Guangdong edge Beijing 106-90

At the Chinese Basketball Association, Guangdong Southern Tigers got over Beijing Ducks 106-90 at home with six players scoring double digits on Thursday, while Troy Gillenwater scored a game high 35 points.

Huang Rongqi found Troy Gillenwater, whose heavy dunk gave the Ducks a 9-point lead. Huang threw a long distance ball into the basket from the other side of the coast on the final whistle of the first quarter which ended in 28-19 for Guangdong. Zhang Haojie connected with Gillenwater, who dunked to make Guangdong go ahead by 16. Xu Jie then nailed a triple to solid the victory for Guangdong. Zhang Mingchi added a couple to put the icing on the cake for Guangdong who won 106-90. Guangdong sit 8th of table while Beijing are 4th after two losses in a row. 

In other action, Shanxi Loongs moved past Nanjing Monkey Kings 108-96. Brandon Goodwin found Hamidou Diallo to put Shanxi ahead by 4 points. Shanxi led 27-23 near the end of the first quarter. Goodwin then drove in for a lay-up to enlarge the lead to nine points. Lin Wei, who scored a game-high 35 points, then nailed a long triple for Nanjing. Goodwin then drove in to put the icing on the cake for Shanxi. Six Shanxi players scored double-digits and they sit second in the standings after a third consecutive win.
