China's annual Central Economic Work Conference was held in Beijing from Wednesday to Thursday as Chinese leaders decided on priorities for economic work in 2025. Outlining a number of key tasks for the upcoming year, senior officials at the meeting urged for efforts to vigorously boost consumption, improve investment efficiency and expand domestic demand.
CGTN's Michael Wang notes that this year's conference once again strikes a balance between immediate action and long-term vision by prioritizing consumption while laying the groundwork for innovation and green development. China demonstrates that its growth strategy is both adaptive and forward looking, says Wang.
