China's Liao Guifang won all three gold medals in the women's 81kg category at the World Weightlifting Championships in Manama, Bahrain.
In the snatch, Liao lifted 123kg in her third attempt, after having already claimed gold by lifting 120kg on her second attempt. Mongolia's Ankhtsetseg Munkhjantsan and the DPRK's Kim Kyong Ryong finished second and third, respectively.
In the clean and jerk, Kim lifted 147kg to secure all three bronze medals. Egypt's Paris Olympic silver medalist Sara Samir lifted 149kg, earning her two silver medals. Liao was again successful on all three attempts and was guaranteed to win gold after lifting 150kg on her second attempt. However, she went on to lift 155kg, winning all three golds despite being the lightest competitor in this division.
