The Chinese naval hospital ship Peace Ark concluded its seven-day visit to Djibouti on Friday and has departed to Sri Lanka. A farewell ceremony at Djibouti Port by local authorities was attended by dignitaries, military and political officials, civilians, Chinese embassy staff and representatives of Chinese institutions. During its stay, the Peace Ark treated over 5,800 patients, conducted 2,377 medical tests and performed 48 surgeries. The crew also offered medical services and held cultural exchange activities in local orphanages and schools.
