Editor's Note: Since the establishment of diplomatic ties nearly 70 years ago, China-Nepal relations have maintained sound and steady development. In 2019, during Chinese President Xi Jinping state visit to Nepal, the bilateral relationship was elevated to the strategic partnership of cooperation. In this edition of Leaders Talk, CMG's Zou Yun sat down with K. P. Sharma Oli, Prime Minister of Nepal, during his four-day official visit to China from Dec. 2 to 5, during which both countries signed a nine-point agreement on connectivity, industrial development, infrastructural development and trade and tourism. Oli commends President Xi for his vision and statecraft, noting that "the establishment of the CPC in 1921 was the most important turning point in Chinese history." Oli also praises China's Belt and Road Initiative, saying that its goal is to share prosperity and support other countries that are left behind. "It is part of a community of shared future for mankind."
