The 2024 Beijing Forum on Swift Response to Public Complaints will kick off on December 18. Facing urban governance challenges, Beijing adopted an innovative mechanism in 2019 to respond to public complaints, introducing a 24/7 public service hotline. The 12345 hotline has become a major channel for people to voice their concerns. All government service hotlines across China were subsequently merged with the 12345 hotline.
