A magnitude-7.3 earthquake shook the South Pacific archipelago of Vanuatu on Tuesday, causing widespread damage. The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake struck 30 kilometers west of Port Vila at a depth of 57 km. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued a tsunami warning before lifting it less than two hours later.
