In 1999, Pui Seng In was a high school student in Macao. The return of Macao to China that year gave him the opportunity to study on the mainland, a decision that marked the beginning of a journey shaping his future. He became a volunteer worker. Over the past decade, Pui and a group of like-minded young people from Macao have traveled to remote villages across the mainland, fostering connections and supporting rural development. Their volunteer work reflects the Macao spirit of mutual assistance, strengthens China's rural revitalization efforts, and warms the hearts of local residents. As Macao marks the 25th anniversary of its return to China, Pui Seng In, president of the Macao Youth Volunteers Association, reflects on his years of service and shares his hopes for the future.
