Exclusive Stringer Dispatch: Survivor recounts moment earthquake struck Vanuatu

A magnitude-7.3 earthquake shook the South Pacific archipelago of Vanuatu on Tuesday, causing widespread damage and killing at least 14 people. A further 200 injured people have been admitted to the central hospital in the capital of Port Vila. The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake struck 30 kilometers west of Port Vila at a depth of 57 kilometers. Two Chinese nationals were among those killed, Chinese Ambassador to Vanuatu Li Minggang said on Wednesday.
