Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that he has not met Syria's Bashar al-Assad since he arrived in Moscow but plans a meeting.
"I haven't yet seen President Assad since his arrival in Moscow, but I plan to. I will definitely speak with him," Putin told a U.S. journalist at his annual press conference.
