In the second set, French outside hitter Helena Cazaute pounded down an unstoppable kill, before also serving up a pair of aces, en route to topping the charts with 13 points. Milano claimed the frame 25-13 when Zamalek's block went out of bounds.

The Italian club maintained its momentum in the third set, and on match point, opposite Radostina Marinova's hammer closed things out 25-18.
