From a small island under colonial rule to a holistic and comprehensive tourism destination, Macao Special Administrative Region has undergone a successful transformation in the 25 years since its return to China, according to Pansy Ho, executive chairman and managing director of Shun Tak Group. She says the transformation has been "substantial and significant" due to its special positioning via the practice of "One Country, Two Systems," as well as great encouragement and impetus from the central government.
