This documentary film presents the charm of Beijing – a city with a long and storied past – through the eyes of three artists. British-Chinese sound artist Colin Chinnery introduces his mission to capture Beijing’s unique soundscape, from traditional pigeon whistles to the calls of street vendors, while cloisonnegift designer Shen Wenguang persists in his pursuit to find ahue of blue that perfectly reflects the city’s cultural heritage. Through photography and social media, native son Song Zhuangzhuang also shares hisunderstanding of the shapes and forms of Beijing, from its ancientarchitecture and alleyways to the modern Central Business District.
