Editor's Note: Relations and friendship between China and Serbia are firmly grounded in history as both countries have always stood with each other in difficult moments. Serbia's socioeconomic development has greatly benefited from China's Belt and Road Initiative while Serbia is looking to the Chinese market to export its specialty produce. In this edition of Leaders Talk, CMG's He Yanke sat down with Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević in Shanghai where he attended the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE). Vučević marvels at China's development pace, noting that "socialism with Chinese characteristics has yielded remarkable results." He looks forward to closer exchanges with China and build on the bilateral free trade agreement under the framework of the BRI, as Serbia's "Leap into the Future" vision focusing on national development can open "avenues of cooperation" with China.
