On December 23, Ma Ying-jeou, former chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang Party, and a group of Taiwan students visited a museum dedicated to a renowned Chinese poet, Du Fu, a historical figure, in southwest China's Sichuan Province. He said that Taiwan is going in the wrong direction of de-Sinicization due to the political manipulations of the Democratic Progressive Party. He noted that this generation has a responsibility to make things right.
