On December 17, 2024, China expanded its visa-free transit stay to 240 hours for eligible foreign travelers, sparking excitement among travelers from around the globe eager to explore and experience all that China has to offer.

Under the new policy, nationals from 54 countries, including Russia, Brazil, the UK, the U.S. and Canada, who are transiting through China on their way to a third country or region, may enter China visa-free through any of the 60 open ports across 24 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.
