Benfica retook the lead in the Primeira Liga with 38 points after beating Estoril Praia 3-0 at home in the 15th round on Monday. 

Vangelis Pavlidis, assisted by Angel Di Maria, opened scoring in the 28th minute when he struck from long range to beat goalkeeper Joel Robles.

Zeki Amdouni doubled the lead in the 73rd after the ball rebounded off Robles from an attempt by Aktürkoglu, and headed in another late in stoppage time form a corner by Beste. They move one point clear of Sporting, who settled for a goalless draw with Gil Vicente.

Benfica will visit Sporting this Sunday for a crucial matchup in the 16th round for top spot in the standings.
