CBA: Shanghai beat Jilin, Zhejiang defeat Guangzhou with big margins

In the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), the Shanghai Sharks beat the Jilin Northeast Tigers 138-101 at home to extend their winning streak to eight games on Monday.

Eric Bledsoe went over the top to Li Hongquan for a corner triple, and the Sharks led by three. Kenneth Lofton drove in to put the hosts ahead by six points. 

Jilin battled back in the second quarter. Cui Jinming drilled a three to give the visitors a lead of eight. Tomas Kyzlink missed the triple, but Zhao Jiahao got the rebound and extended Jilin's edge to ten.

Bledsoe dished to Lofton, whose three-pointer levelled the score at 74 in the third quarter.

Li Tianrong drilled one of his seven triples and Shanghai went ahead by 11. Li Hongquan added another three, en route to his team-high 34 points. Yan Pengfei then helped Shanghai seal a big victory of 37 points.

Elsewhere, the Zhejiang Golden Bulls beat the Guangzhou Loong Lions 120-103. 

Lu Wenbo drained a triple to put the hosts ahead. Gabe York knocked down a three that stretched the gap to 23 points in the second quarter.

Zhejiang continued their dominance in the third quarter. York made a jumper and the home side led by 20.

Damion Jones set up Wang Yibo for a two-point play. Zhejiang went ahead by 27.

Wang drilled another three and Zhejiang went on to win their 7th straight home game.
