Bangladesh's newly constructed railway route operational

Bangladesh's newly constructed Padma Bridge Rail Link Project officially opened on December 24. Built by the China Railway Group Limited and funded by the Export-Import Bank of China, the 170-km-long route is a key project under the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative.
Known locally as the "Dream Road," the railway cuts travel time between Dhaka and Jashore from 10 hours to three only.
