Stringer Dispatch: Rescue efforts underway at crash site in Kazakhstan

An Azerbaijan Airlines passenger jet flying from Baku, Azerbaijan, to Grozny, Russia, crashed on Wednesday near Aktau in western Kazakhstan. Initial reports indicate there are survivors, and rescue operations are underway. Azerbaijan Airlines said the plane was carrying 62 passengers and five crew members.

CGTN visited the plane crash site in Aktau, Kazakhstan, to update the situation. Law enforcement officials have cordoned off the crash site, and witnesses and rescue workers say survivors have been taken to hospital.
