Over more than 60 years, Zhu Hongwei, Song Caifu, and Tuluxun Maimaiti, who represent three generations of forest rangers in the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, have built and maintained a green barrier between two deserts, 14 kilometers wide by 180 kilometers long, to protect the land.
