A unique fish lantern parade illuminated Xixinan Ancient Village in the city of Huangshan, Anhui Province, with participants both from the area and further afield. In 2023, Xixinan township signed a cooperation memorandum with Giethoorn, a village in the Netherlands, aiming to boost exchanges in tourism, heritage protection and cultural communication. Dutch visitors and local tourists danced together at the fish lantern parade, enjoying the happy atmosphere against a backdrop of fireworks to welcome the new year.
