More than 120 people were killed after a Jeju Air passenger jet erupted in flames as it veered off the runway and hit a wall at an airport in South Korea's southwestern county of Muan on Sunday.

The accident happened at 9:07 a.m. The local fire department said everyone on board is presumed to have been killed, except for two crew members who were rescued. A total of 181 people, including six crew members, were on board the Boeing 737-800 plane that had departed from Bangkok at 1:30 a.m.

The Accident Investigation Committee has retrieved two flight recorders of the crashed passenger plane, KBS reported on Sunday, citing South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
