China's ice-and-snow economy - Skiing and soaking in NE China's Yingkou

00:31

A day on the slopes is exhausting, and perhaps the best way to top off a day of skiing is to soak your cold, sore muscles in these amazing hot springs.

As we've entered the winter season, hotels and tourist resorts in Liaoning Province are striving to bring new consumption scenarios for visitors by integrating local elements such as hot springs and folk customs. China has unveiled an ambitious plan to develop its ice and snow economy as a new economic driver, targeting a total market size of 1.2 trillion yuan (164.4 billion U.S. dollars) by 2027 and 1.5 trillion yuan (205.49 billion U.S. dollars) by 2030, according to the State Council.
