China tackles water challenges with record investments

China's Ministry of Water Resources has highlighted key achievements from the past year, detailing efforts to support sustainable economic growth and ensure water security amid climate challenges. In 2024, China launched more than 47,000 water projects, with total investments hitting a record 1.35 trillion yuan, or over 180 billion U.S. dollars.
