Thomas Bach, president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), sent a New Year greeting to China Media Group (CMG) and all its staff on Tuesday.
He also congratulated CMG on the release of its 2025 sports events resources and the launch of a special program focused on promoting mass sports events, fostering national fitness, and advocating scientific exercise.
In his message, Bach stated that for decades, CMG has been a valuable partner of the IOC, inspiring hundreds of millions of Chinese people and setting an industry benchmark for Olympic broadcasting. He added that the IOC is proud to collaborate with CMG and looks forward to carrying out new cooperation with CMG.
As his term as IOC president draws to a close, Bach expressed his gratitude for a decade of collaboration and friendship with CMG and remarked that the power of sport can make the world a better place. He also hoped that CMG can continue to support his successor, working together to make the world a better place through sport.
