At least 15 people were killed and dozens injured when a driver rammed a pickup truck into a crowd during New Year's celebrations in New Orleans on January 1. The attack occurred at around 3:15 a.m. on Bourbon Street, one of the largest destinations for New Year's Eve parties in the world. The FBI is investigating the incident as an "act of terrorism" and identified the attacker as Shamsud-Din Jabbar. The agency said the 42-year-old U.S. citizen from Texas and Army veteran, who was killed in a shootout with police, may not have acted alone.
