The Palestinian-Israeli conflict continued in 2024, leaving the Gaza Strip in the grip of an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. The ongoing conflict has claimed over 45,000 Palestinian lives and more than 106,000 people have been injured. Gazan resident Abu Yousef Barghout says that people in the Palestinian enclave are tired of destruction and death and hopes for everlasting peace in the new year, not only in Gaza but the world.
