Workshops in the Outdoor Leisure Products Industrial Park of Pingyu County, central China's Henan Province, are bustling with the sound of machinery. Camping trailers, outdoor tents, folding tables and chairs are some of their products, 90 percent of which are sold in over 60 countries and regions. Pingyu has 95 outdoor leisure production enterprises, including 11 with annual revenues exceeding 100 million yuan (around $13.7 million), offering 50,000 jobs. Pingyu is a small county with a population of more than 72,000. In 2024, the total output value of its outdoor leisure industry surpassed 10 billion yuan.
