The first 50 ultra-Orthodox soldiers were drafted for regular service in the Israel Defense Forces' (IDF) new Haredi brigade, known as the Hasmonean Brigade, the military said in a statement on Sunday.
Approximately 100 additional ultra-Orthodox people will be part of the brigade's first reserves company after an intensive six-month training, the IDF added.
