A blast of snow, ice, wind and plunging temperatures caused dangerous travel conditions across parts of the central U.S. on Sunday. The storm brought the possibility of the “heaviest snowfall in a decade” to several areas.The weather service cautioned that road travel could be “very difficult to impossible.”
