China Media Group premieres new nature documentary series

China Media Group (CMG) premiered a nature documentary, Mi Jing Shen Chu (Into the Hidden Realm), on Tuesday via its flagship channel, CCTV-1. Jointly produced with the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, the six-part series explores China's national parks and nature reserves, delving into six unique ecological treasures.

From the snow-capped peaks of the Tibetan Plateau to the tropical rainforests of Xishuangbanna, and from the rose-colored lakes of northwestern deserts to the bamboo seas deep in the Qinling Mountains, the documentary showcases the breathtaking diversity of China's natural landscapes.

The series captures numerous groundbreaking moments, including a snow leopard mother teaching her cubs to hunt cooperatively, the interaction between Himalayan langurs and Himalayan blue sheep, the migration and relocation of a Pallas's cat family, and many more.

Shot with cutting-edge technology such as 4K ultra-high-definition cameras, high-speed photography, infrared imaging and aerial videography, the documentary offers unparalleled visuals of rare animal behaviors and the intricate balance of China's ecosystems.
