Putin expresses condolences to China over Xizang earthquake

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday extended "sincere condolences on the tragic aftermath" of a powerful earthquake that jolted southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region.
"Russia shares the grief of those who lost their families and close ones in this disaster and hopes for a speedy recovery of the injured," the Russian president said in an English-version statement.
