China's consumer goods trade-in policy continues to be implemented in 2025. In Taiyuan City, capital of Shanxi Province, consumers purchasing cars, home appliances or electric bicycles can enjoy government trade-in subsidies of around 20 percent. In addition to the national trade-in subsidies, Shanxi provides extra subsidies for consumers. Many stores have seen a surge in consumer activity.
