Competition venues are being examined through test events for the Asian Winter Games, including the Yabuli Sports Training Base, which will host the cross-country skiing events during the continental showpiece in February.

A total of 28 athletes participated in the two-day simulated competition, and tested two routes of 1.3 and 2.5 kilometers. The event was a comprehensive drill for the technical staff, medical staff and umpires, as well as media operations personnel.

According to the organizers, the Training Base will strive to meet the standards of major international competitions in all aspects, as the experts on hand have experience from successfully hosting the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Among the 64 events across six sports at the Asian Winter Games, 32 snow events will take place in Yabuli, which is about 190 kilometers from the host city of Harbin.
