At least eight people were injured in a hammer attack at a university in Tokyo on Friday, Japanese media reported.
All those hurt were conscious, according to public broadcaster NHK, which cited police sources as saying that the afternoon attack took place at Hosei University's Tama Campus.
The suspect who wielded the hammer was arrested at the scene, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating the details of the incident.
