As wildfires continue to ravage parts of California, residents in affected areas face enormous and tragic loss. The crisis has caused widespread sadness and difficulties. CGTN reporter Zhou Yixin spoke with Arcadia City Council member, Paul P. Cheng, who has been working to coordinate responses to minimize the loss in Arcadia, one of the cities located in the Eaton Fire zone. Cheng highlighted the fire's intensity and the dedication of Arcadia's fire department. He said, despite challenges like poor internet connectivity, which limited information dissemination, first responders adopted a door-to-door approach to give evacuation notices to residents.
