People of the North – Harbin Special

In early 2024, CGTN's food vlogger Shanny joined hands with renowned Norwegian TV hosts Arne Hjeltnes and Stig Bareksten to explore Harbin, for the production of the documentary "The People of the North: Harbin Special." They visited the city's vibrant morning markets, strolled along the Central Street, and learned to cook Guo Bao Rou (sweet and sour pork). Venturing further northeast to Mulan County, they joined villagers in dancing the traditional "Yangko" and making dumplings.

The Norwegian hosts were captivated by Harbin's cuisine and breathtaking scenery. As winter returns, Harbin once again beckons visitors from around the globe with its unique allure. Follow us on the journey of this "China-Norway duo" and experience the magic of China's "Ice City"!
