China win aerials mixed team at Freestyle Junior World Championships

China secured both the gold and silver medals in the aerials mixed team event at the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Freestyle Junior World Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on Saturday.

Both Team A and Team B of China advanced to the aerials mixed team final. Wang Qixian of Team B, who previously earned silver in the women's individual event, launched first and set the bar high. Her routine, that featured the highest degree of difficulty among female competitors, earned her 84.10 points.

Following Wang are Gu Jiubo and Geng Hu from Team B and they executed daring maneuvers to scoring 96.23 and 95.88 points. Their combined efforts led to a total score of 276.21 points, propelling them ahead of Team A, which is made up of Feng Junxi, Yang Zhicheng, and Yang Yuheng.

Canada round out the podium after earning the bronze with 230.72 points. With this latest achievement, China emerged as the standout performers at the tournament, with a haul of one gold, two silvers, and two bronzes across the individual events.
