China's innovative CINITY projection system, known for its cutting-edge features, is gaining domestic and international attention. It's enhancing the movie viewing experience to a whole new level. Our Wang Siwen reports.

CINITY, China's advanced large format system, features 4K, 3D, high frame rate and ultra-high brightness technology.

On January 10th, the CINITY LED mastering center was officially opened in Los Angeles, United States.

The world's first CINITY LED-specific mastering of a Hollywood film, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, marks a breakthrough moment in China's independent technological innovation in the film industry.

LI SHUPING Chief Technical Expert, China Film "One significant benefit is addressing the issue of offering high-format LED versions of foreign films, especially Hollywood productions, to the Chinese audience.

Secondly, this equipment is among the most advanced in the world. For us to promote it internationally is great. It is essential to solve the issue of content availability. With Hollywood films and our mastering center, this problem has now been resolved."

WANG SIWEN Beijing "I'm here at a CINITY theater in Beijing, where groundbreaking technology is set to transform the movie-going experience. This innovation could also reshape the Chinese film market and boost the box office."

In 2024, China's box office revenue surpassed 42.5 billion yuan, or roughly 5.91 billion US dollars. Along with this growth, a new trend is emerging.

WU YING Manager, Tiantian Cinema "From the perspective of cinema operations, the audience now pay more attention to technical aspects like frame rate and viewing quality. For example, films like The Wandering Earth 2, runs at 120 frames per second, and only in theaters equipped with high-frame-rate technology can someone experience its full potential."

With China's film technology continuing to grow, new technology aims to provide people with an unparalleled viewing experience, one that cannot be replicated elsewhere.
