China's new energy vehicle (NEV) production and sales have surpassed 12 million in 2024, leading the global NEV market for 10 consecutive years, according to the latest data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on Monday.
In 2024, China's NEV production reached 12.888 million, while sales totaled 12.866 million, representing a year-on-year growth of 34.4 percent and 35.5 percent respectively, according to the CAAM data.
Additionally, China's NEV exports hit 1.284 million, a 6.7-percent increase compared to the previous year, further establishing China's leadership in the global market.
