As the Chinese New Year approaches, over 20 artisans are busy crafting spinning lanterns in Lijiabao Village, Hejin City, north China's Shanxi Province. These lanterns are lit up by handmade candles and powered by human movement and natural wind. It takes a team of 10 artisans an entire day to complete a set of spinning lanterns, from cutting materials, binding, pasting and paper-cutting to assembly.
