The General Administration of Customs of China on Monday outlined the country's foreign trade achievements in 2024. Officials say China had remarkable achievements in imports and exports in both total value growth and quality. The total value of foreign trade amounted to 43.85 trillion yuan in 2024, which is about six trillion U.S. dollars, an increase of more than two-trillion yuan in the past year. China remains the world's largest trader in goods. The country has become a major trading partner for over 150 economies. The export volume reached 25.45 trillion yuan – a year-on-year increase of 7.1 percent. This marks eight consecutive years of growth, showcasing robust competitiveness. While imports totalled 18.39 trillion yuan, a 2.3 percent increase.
