Two earthquakes above magnitude 4.5 jolted southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region on Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
A magnitude-4.9 earthquake first struck Dingri County in Xigaze at 8:57 p.m. (Beijing Time), followed by a magnitude-5.0 quake at 8:58 p.m., according to the CENC.
