China's second domestically built large cruise liner has had its hull structure completed in Shanghai on Wednesday. The cruise liner is being produced by a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, the world's largest shipbuilding group. The ship is 341 meters long and 37.2 meters wide, able to host more passengers compared with Adora Magic City, the country's first domestically built large cruise liner. The cruise liner was named "Adora Flora City" in October last year and will take southeast China's Guangzhou as its home port after its delivery in 2026.
WANG QI, President, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, CSSC "The completion of the hull structure actually means that all the structural work of the ship has reached a certain stage, and the next step will be transferred to interior decoration, equipment debugging and installation of electric and mechanical equipment. So far, we are fully in accordance with our schedule of construction. In terms of safety, construction management, and overall quality control, the second cruise liner is a big step forward compared to the first one."
