Hamas and Israel reached a ceasefire and hostage release deal Wednesday following more than 15 months of war. The ceasefire deal starts on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. local time in Gaza (06:30 GMT). In the first of the three phases of the plan, which lasts for 42 days, Hamas must hand over 33 hostages and Israel must begin a phased withdrawal of its troops in the northern Strip and start releasing Palestinian prisoners. According to an Egyptian security source, the Rafah crossing, the only channel linking the Gaza Strip with Egypt, is to be reopened on Sunday, and about 600 aid trucks are expected to enter Gaza via the crossing. CGTN has multiple reporters from Gaza, Erez Crossing, Tel Aviv's Hostages Square and Egypt's side of the Rafah crossing to bring you the latest coverage on the ground. Join us for more!
