The Yongjiang River, Nanning's lifeline, has nurtured the city's growth and prosperity, but suffered pollution for a while. In recent years, Nanning has achieved remarkable success in water system management. Nanning's Mayor Hou Gang shares how systematic restoration work by the city's government, supported by public-private partnership, has turned once-polluted waters into a picturesque wetland park. Today, the banks of Yongjiang River have become a heaven for leisure and camping, offering breathtaking views.
